be . do . have

How are things broad into existence?

You may have heard of the creative process: 1. Ask. , 2. Answer , 3. Receive . This describes how we get things.

I would like to present you another formula:   be   .   do   .   have
(in this sequence).

We must first be something (in the realm of thought), in order to do something, so that we can have something on the physical plane.

Mind over Matter

You may have noticed by now that I am not a native English speaker. Therefore, I may look at English terms in a different way as a native speaker does (the same is true when you would learn another language). On particular interesting subjects are figure of speeches.

One of my favorite is “Mind over Matter”.

I looked it up in a dictionary and found this definition: “mind over matter, the act of making a mental effort to ignore, overcome, or control something physical [They can lie on a bed of nails without feeling any pain - it's mind over matter]”.
Mind over matter- is there a better way to describe Mentalism, New Thought or the Law of Attraction?

The purpose of life (part 1 of 233’448’797)

I thought it might be a good idea to start my blog off by taking on of life’s most challenging questions: What is the purpose of life?

Just yesterday, I’ve been listing to the musical “Avenue Q” (I really love it :) ). The final sing “only for now” contains these lines:

”Maybe you’ll never find your purpose”
“Lots of people don’t”
“But then - I don’t know why I’m even alive!”
“Well, who does, really?”

Now, this is simple but true. Many people don’t enjoy their present life, because they are driven to accomplish something. And when they finally achieve it, the question arises “is this all there is?”

Don’t get me wrong. Life is constantly evolving, and it is a good thing to have wishes and dreams one wants to fulfill. But what’s the point of spending one’s life, yet not enjoying it?

Now, here is the secret: Be happy where you are and, at the same time, be eager for more.

Or, put another way: The purpose of life is life.

Welcome!

Dear reader

No matter by which in-between-steps you have come on my site – Welcome! I am glad that you are here. Let me assure you; this is a good place to be :)

What is Meri’s World all about? Shoes, sunglasses, accessories, vine, cars, VIP news? Not at all (if you are looking for these kind of information, you will find more suitable pages somewhere else). To state it briefly, this blog is about all of us. It’s about me, you and you. It’s about who we are, and how we can be happy. These are big words, I know.

The purpose of this blog is to investigate the human nature, thinking about big things, like: what is life all about, after all? Why do we do what we do, and why do we

believe what we believe? So, is this kind of a cult or new religion? Not at all, again. Meri’s world is all about personal development and philosophies for gaining a new viewpoint of life. Here, there are no dogmas, only a stream of free, fresh, new thought(s) which might inspire you, or at least, make you smile.

So, enjoy your stay, and I hope you will be back soon!
